ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A Djinn is a spirit of air and fire, described in the Quran as a `scorching wind` and the word originally meant `what is hidden` - a concept which I have tried to capture in it's form. Developing the sculpture I concentrated on the proccess of using repetitive form of material - flat steel bar, to generate concepts and capture the movement of elemental reactions. This sculpture is made from steel and finished with a beautiful patina I have developed called `Hematite Skin`. I use chemicals that darken the steel whilst using a process that adds subtle colours to give the surface a depth that draws the viewer in. Similar sculptures can be sized to fit any space. All djinn sculptures vary in form to make them unique pieces

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Working predominantly in metals, I create an eclectic range of sculpture and contemporary furniture. Highly aesthetic in nature, you will find much of my work curvaceous and tactile, but with a coarseness that is lent from working with bare steel or stainless steel. My style ranges from figurative to abstract and is always in context with its environment. My current collection "˜Elements' focuses on Earth, Air, Water and Fire, and describes the reaction of when those elements meet. Developing the collection I concentrated on the proccess of using repetitive form of material - flat steel bar, to generate concepts and capture the movement of elemental reactions. The forms are designed appropriately for indoor display, but are perfectly suited to larger scale and outside installations for private or public spaces. .html htt
