Dualism - Intramineral Pink Light Print

"Dualism" is part of a series called "Intramineral Light", first shown in Bogota, on June 2019. It represents the artist's exploration of light and darkness as actual dimensions of his own self and his relationships. Installed in a black female or concave corner, the piece is an awakening contrast both in terms of colour and space, since it integrates the corner that holds it. Inspired by minerals and light, this series of works is called "Intramineral Light", which refers to the self-conscious light that Torres finds when transcending limits and dead end situations. Corners symbolize the limit of all limits, therefore intramineral light is the result of transcending them. "Modular Fungi" are creatures born from that light and symbolize new ways of dealing with matters such as space, limits, mineral resources and light itself.
