Inspired by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s teaching that, without the mud, there can be no lotus – meaning that without the bad, there cannot be the good. Tangentially, a pictorial reminder that an object can be completely different when viewed from different angles, such at from the top down or up from below. Finally, there can be beauty, even in mud.
