ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Harmony of intentional and unintentional power. This reflects our life in which the will and will of others around me are involved. Similar to the wind, which in the real Black Forest is also one of the few phenomena not intended by humans. Hundreds and thousands of pieces of ceramic, three to eight centimeters high, collected in this way are tightly connected in a square box and complete my forest.

The Black Forest in southwest Germany is still referred to as a "large closed forest area". But what does that mean? What is actually meant by forest? The spruce that dominates there today tends to grow in tightly packed groups far into the valley than in mountainous solitude. Naturally, it would only thrive at higher altitudes as it grows in cold areas. Due to this stiffness and tightness of the planting, less light gets into the forest during the day. If you look at the wood plantations from a distant vantage point at sunset, you may feel concerned about the tension caused by something anxiety that is somehow troubling you. This unfamiliarity and instability reminds me of my first visit to Germany. A natural forest, on the other hand, is a place where many different types of old trees and tree species live together in harmony. It is a place where people from different ethnic groups live together, and it is a place that plays the same role as cities elsewhere. In the case of the Black Forest and also in other forests in Germany, however, only a very single species of tree grows, and this experience of monoculture is comparable to similar feelings in the experience of German cities. The problem of understanding and communicating with others around me is a recurring question in my life as a foreigner in the German state, and this has become a task and topic of my work.
