Granny P Print

Grandma P is the third in a family of Pigeion Pluckers. Inspired by urban London, the resilience of fragile creatures living alongside humans, often unappreciated for their stunning finery character & splendour amongst the discarded newspaper etc or our streets. These impresionistic sculptures are made from sturdy iron wire that is hand manipulated into discriptive shape alongside newsprint that depicts plumage, the pigeon is constructed to be Life size and weight and is then embellished with silk embroidery thread and sequins. I am to capture their individual characters for example this one is the granny pigeon and I am to incorporate poignancy and humour. She stands well and is quite weighty, she can be displayed in any nook and cranny of an old property or is strong enough to stand alone in a plain contemporary background of a modern room. Grandma P will stand alone or work well as a family with Mrs Plucker will also work well with her Partner Daddy Plucker who can be purchased separately.
