Patrizia Rampazzo is an artist who has worked in different media and equally made use of a wide range of materials including canvas, paper, wax, terracotta, organic materials, and metals. Lately, she has been specifically working with hard materials, like ancient wood, iron and baked clay so as to realize surrealist visions and eerie images of women and men dwelling in unforeseeable, and inaccessible sites. The collection "Nomadi o stanziali, precari abitatori sono ... e tenaci" came into being in 2008. It is intended to be a series of reflections on the themes of travelling and staying. The series "Viaggio lento," formerly exhibited at Sassuolo, Pavia, and Giavera del Montello in 2009, aims to add up to the previous themes the new subjects of slowness and lightness. The latest works belonging to the series "Vicino al cuore selvaggio" have further expanded to embrace the theme of the necessary connection between Earth, Sky and Man.
