About The Artwork

Each painting or sculpture is really about improvisation and allows for the viewer to enter into another world. My methodology that I have explained of improvisation, fragments and found objects, comes from the intuitive and not from any analytical beginning. It is my intention to make work reflect my everyday experience not what I factually perceive. I keep the meaning of any given image open so it can be determined by its new life within a painting or sculpture rather than a preconceived notion I bring to it. My remix methodology uses found parts and images that are like fragments of an idea taken out of context. Reconfiguring a wide range of sources, the crossover remains with nostalgia yet moves towards multi layered connections. A point of departure might be history or insight of the past, then trying to bring this to the present moment in a new way visually .
