b. 1988 Alex J Wood specialises in bronze sculpture and painting, after graduating with an MA Fine Art from Chelsea Art College. Alex’s work has been widely exhibited – including shows at The Groucho Club and Atlantic Gallery New York last year, an exhibition in 2023 at Paul Smith’s Albemarle Street Store, and a solo show at MOCA London in 2022. Alex was awarded The Royal Society of British Artists 2022 ‘Rome Scholarship’, and won three grants from The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, Canada. He also won The Picton Art Prize resulting in a large bronze on public display in Islington London. Alex’s sculptures and paintings are held in various private collections, including those of Prince Jonathan Doria Pamphilj in Rome and The Patrick & Kelly Lynch Collection.
