The artwork "Rebel" is a unique sculpture, with a striking egg-shaped structure and a texture reminiscent of coral. However, this sculpture offers much more than just visually appealing aesthetics. It is a powerful statement that reminds us that our actions as humanity have an impact on our planet, and that we must be aware of the consequences of our behavior. The shape of the sculpture resembles a globe, and this is no coincidence. It is meant to remind us that the Earth is a living organism, which can revolt against our actions. It makes us think about how we treat our planet and how we can contribute to a better world. The colors of the sculpture are also deliberately chosen to have a deeper meaning. The bright yellow represents the energy and vitality of the Earth, while the intense red represents the passion and fire with which we can change our planet. The deep blue symbolizes the peace and calmness that we need to find to inhabit our planet sustainably. But it is the name of the sculpture, "Rebel", that deserves the most emphasis. It reminds us that sometimes we have to go against the flow and choose our own path. We must be willing to make unconventional choices and go against the status quo to bring about real change. In short, "Rebel" is an impressive artwork that calls on us to take responsibility for our planet and reminds us that we have our own destiny in our hands. It is an invitation to reflect on our behavior and choices, and to be the change we want to see in the world. Extra info: The total height of sculpture including glass bell jar is: 11 inch(27cm). COMMISSIONS Have you been inspired by my art, but that one sculpture you had in mind is not available or already sold? Do not hesitate to contact me. Together we can still make your wish come true. Commissioned art is always possible. STATEMENT As a sculptor, I am driven by my passion for nature and my commitment to creating art that reflects the beauty and wonder of the world around us. Using a 3D pen, I craft intricate sculptures inspired by the graceful forms of sea life and corals, as well as the artistry of the iconic Faberge style. In my work, I strive to capture the delicate details and fluid movements of the creatures and landscapes I depict, imbuing each piece with a sense of life and movement. To further my commitment to the environment, I utilize only eco-friendly materials such as PLA, as well as ceramics and porcelain, in the creation of my art. By combining my love for nature and my artistic skills, I aim to create sculptures that not only captivate the viewer, but also inspire a deeper appreciation for the beauty and diversity of our world. Whether crafted from gleaming PLA or hand-formed ceramics, my sculptures are a testament to my love of the natural world and my desire to bring that beauty to life. BIOGRAPHY I am Nina Avalon, born in 1981, and I am a Dutch-based sculptor who specializes in creating delicate art pieces using a 3D pen. At the age of 12, I started dancing and eventually reached the top of the Dutch Ballroom dance scene while simultaneously studying Graphic Design at the University of Rotterdam. Balancing my studies with my dance training was demanding, but I persevered and excelled in both endeavors. Despite my many dance titles and accomplishments, I felt that something was missing. For me, the ephemeral nature of dance did not fulfill my creative needs. It was about capturing a momentary feeling, but it could not be held or touched. After 20 years of a successful dance career, I decided to pursue other avenues for expression. I tried various forms of art, including photography and fine art drawing, before my husband gifted me a 3D pen for my birthday. At the time, 3D pen technology was relatively new, and few people knew how to use it. However, my persistence and creativity led me to develop my own unique style and technique, and I now use the 3D pen to express myself in a way that I find fulfilling.
