ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I love to work with clay or other similarly malleable bodies. It consists of everything I love about this planet; earth, water, wind, fire, and spirit. I can completely immerse myself in this line of creative work. An essential part of my work process is an intimate environment. I`ve been interested in sexuality for as long as I can remember. At the same time, I was educated to be ashamed and hide body parts, fearing the consequences of freely expressing myself. Feeling comfortable in one's own body is my aim, but also for men to feel comfortable and understand a woman's body, to communicate about it with ease and clarity, without shame and pretence.

Amíe N. Milton was born in a small picturesque town in Germany to Slovene parents. At age 5 she lost her dearest friend, the bear who fought his last battle with the washing machine. She is a self taught artist, working analog and digital. From then on she chose her home to be a nearby wood and her friends and play companions the many and very real beings living there. Sometimes she decides to join the real world. In 2018 she self-published a book of poetry and zen-like drawings Silently I Walk in the Pocket of time, a meditation on time, transformation and love, available on Amazon. Milton is currently working on paintings and sculptures for her upcoming solo exhibition Venus Ascending and writing and illustrating a children´s book about creation. She is collaborating with VIDA.
