About The Artwork
A hanging sculpture, similar to but unlike any fruit in existence. The digital genesis of this object is pure, mathematical and without descent other than it's ideation. The piece has fragmentary composition made of a series of fluorescent acrylic cut in succession with a laser cuter. The slices are assembled and form voids that hint at the inner structure. The object offers a simple and glowing presence, as if a synthetic fruiting body that emerges, an expression of the modern, digital and fabricated world.
