"Either serene, happy or nostalgic, the characters that I create, offer to the viewers life and emotion. To build my little world, I work with chamotte clay using a variety of techniques and renders. Sometimes I favour smooth surfaces, sometimes rough structures. My sculptures are, for the most part, patinated with natural warm-toned pigments. I also use thin layers of glazing letting glimpse the subtle nuances of the clay. But sometimes I choose to keep the natural colours of clay when the earth tones are enough to express sensations ... " My current creations are organized around two axes: - garden sculptures. Consisting of small heads surmounting long metal rods, my garden sculptures offer a touch of cheerfulness and poetry when planted in the massifs and groves of a garden, in an inner courtyard ... But they can also be installed inside on a metal base. - Medium size modeling (20 - 30 cm) Body, gestures and attitudes capture part of feelings and add to the emotion brought by a smile, happy or sad eye. I like to pay particular attention to clothing but also to pure forms. I am currently working on shapes combining simplicity and aestheticism. Like the sculpture of the twisted woman just realized.
