About The Artwork
The title suggests to wake up and smell the roses, which is about appreciating what you have! Working with a new bottom cast, this is the first of a new style bottom. This cheeky, erotic sculpture is made of stoneware clay, it’s a wall hanging sculpture with an iron oxide wash. A bottom in a heart shape with roses. It would make a lovely garden wall sculpture. The piece is high fired and thus water impermeable - frost proof. The design was inspired by some bottom heart vector designs I made a few years ago. Making it in 3D proved to be a trying process because they kept breaking in the firing, until I managed to create a structure that worked.
