when Amy Winehouse died July 2011 I knew I have to make a sculpture so more people will remember her . I choose tears, for my own grief . Black, as it was her trademark: 1. Amy used to put a lot of black mascara. 2. Her famous song: "Back to Black". Hope that this work will inspire people.

Michal Fuhrer, born in Tel Aviv, Israel, is an Israeli artist, working in the field of Art since 1984. Michal began her art studies at Tel Aviv University, where she studied philosophy, cinema and television. After graduating from Tel Aviv University, Michal studied sculpture, sketching and art at the Academy of Art Beit Berl and at "Basis" Academy of art. Today, Michal continues her work from her own studio. Her work focuses mainly on subjects connected to relations: Human relations and issues of the quality of the environment.
