Dimitrios Roussopoulos was born in Greece. He is also a painter and a mosaic designer. He completed his studies in his hometown. He studied painting, painters of holy, maintenance of Art, fresh, encaustic, mosaic, scenery, costume, hating teachers the following : Mr Apergis A., Mr Kapeliaris R., Mr Markopoulos Chris, Mr Vlahopoulos Br., Mr Tsarouhis J., Mr Vasiliadis V., Veta A. and Mr Haratsidis S. He worked on the book illustration, the scenery, the costumes, the poster, the Greek theatre, the Opera and the cinema. For many years he has worked in the Ministry of Culture for the “Ilion Mansion House”. Icons, mosaics and paintings exist in many churches and collections in Greece and abroad. He is a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts. Furthermore, he is the president of the foundation “Hellinis”, of the Ecclesiastical Museum. In addition, he is the president of the Gallery of Modern Greek painters. He lives and works in Greece and in New York.
