Peter Treiber

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Peter grew up in a family of painters and photographers. After a long corporate, industrial and advertising photography career; he returned to his passion for art and creating fine art photography. His current project, "Ethereal Luminescence" is a series of abstract, expressionistic photographs that was started at a light show and continued at fireworks shows, urban street scenes and amusement parks. It was born out of an effort to express the happiness, joy and excitement experienced by viewers and participants at these events. The symphonic explosion of color, light and motion was the result of Peter not accepting the first representative images that he made. In his final presentation, Peter is not concerned with place or subject, but with the final image to be considered as the subject. His images are currently available, as chromogenic prints laminated to acrylic, as UV inks on brushed aluminum, as dye sublimation prints on gloss aluminum or digital pigmented prints on rag paper. In addition to those shown here, prints from Peter’s work are available as commissioned prints made to clients’ specifications.
