Olga Qekkel

I'm Olga Qekkel – a painter and visual artist based in Germany. My work lives somewhere between the surreal and the deeply personal: lush botanicals, dreamlike figures, abstract landscapes, and quiet moments caught in oil and acrylic on canvas.

My path to painting was shaped by a background in graphic design – an eye for composition, colour, and detail that runs through everything I create. But painting itself has always been self-taught, intuitive, driven by curiosity more than rules. Over the past ten years it has grown from a private practice into something I share with the world.

I work across scales – from intimate 10×10 cm originals that carry a whole world in a small frame, to larger canvases that invite you to get lost in them. My subjects range from cherry blossoms and golden spring light to surrealist florals, bold abstracts, and cats painted with more soul than most portraits.

Every piece is one of a kind. No prints, no editions – just oil and canvas, made by hand, ready to find a home.

Formally trained in graphic design, with a foundation in composition, colour theory, and visual communication. Self-taught in oil and acrylic painting – learning through practice, experimentation, and an ongoing study of classical and contemporary art over the past decade.
