My name is Michael G Quain and in 2009 I decided I was going to be an artist. I had been turning my hand to many different things trying to find something that would get me out of my 9 to 5 and failing at them all, then I said to myself,'Michael you're an artist, why are you trying to do all this other stuff that just is not you,' and so I put my head down and worked at my art, something I had dipped in and out of all my life. I work from photographs either those of my own or from the internet. My Landscapes are all created from my own photography which I then digitally paint to way I saw it when I clicked the shutter down. My erotic art is created from images I find on the internet from pornographic websites when I see that image crying out for me to turn porn into art.

I am a self taught artist in the field of drawing/painting and digital art combining the three mediums to produce my work. This has involved 7 years of experimentation starting in 2008.
Being self taught the only rules I follow are my own. I have learned a lot through experimentation and trail and error.
I have cut my teeth as an artist on ebay where I have sold over 300 works of my mainly erotic art to customers all over the world. I now have the confidence to move on to the big boys league here on Saatchi Art.com

My art has taken me on a journey since 2008 of discovery from drawing simple nudes to nature and the universe. In my continual drawing and painting of women from pornography I have discovered the very essence of life, creation and the universe. I have discovered the very female nature of our planet Earth and the Universe. The beauty, wonder, exploitation and oppression of women, and the importance of sex to life itself, not just human life, but all life. Through my digital art I have learned we are all made from the very elements we see in the stars and I have managed to make the link. How? I start with a photograph of a pornographic image and when I have finished I have created a landscape or the stars themselves. ...
