My art work has been described as a combination of curator, explorer, historian and storyteller.
I’m intrigued in uncovering and understanding the relationships between people and the spaces we inhabit, stories that are revealed through a visual language created from site specific reclaimed, harvested and discovered materials.
Currently I am exploring wandering as an art form and you will usually find me traversing across and foraging within various locations around the UK. A background in sustainable “slow” fashion design created a natural progression to me incorporating the skills of hand spun yarns, natural dyes and weaving to produce my own canvas and imagery, often becoming metaphors to relay both my personal and the public’s response to the landscape, eco-system and community that we call “home”. Experimental and curious by nature I continuously develop new methods and materials, where windblown twigs become knitting needles, tree branches transform into weaving looms and foraged petals create colourful drawing materials.
