Rafael Javakhyan

I am a contemporary landscape painter exploring the inner dialogue between memory and nature. For me, a landscape is not simply a scene, but a state of mind where personal experience and universal feeling merge.
While painting, I often enter an intuitive and fully immersive state. Many of my works are created in a single emotional breath, guided by instinct rather than calculation. In those moments, I experience a sense of elevation and dissolution, as if I merge with color and space.
Through expressive color and movement, I strive to capture fleeting moments of light, emotion, and atmosphere. Tonal contrasts become an emotional language through which nature reveals its inner energy and rhythm.
My paintings invite the viewer to pause and enter a meditative space where personal memories meet the universal language of nature. Each work becomes not only a depiction of landscape but also a record of an emotional experience.

I graduated from Yerevan Panos Terlemezyan College of Penting

In 2015, I participated in the Imago Mundi traveling exhibition organized by italian art critic Luciano Benetton around the world.
In2021, I had a solo exhibition at the Artists'Union of Armenia entitled ,,My Soul in Colors".
I regularly participate in group exhibitions in Yerevan, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, and Tbilisi
