My name is Rafał Stach, and I am a contemporary Polish painter working primarily with acrylic on canvas. In my work, I focus on the female figure, expressive portraiture and subtle sensuality.
I am interested in emotions hidden in facial expressions, gestures and body language. Rather than depicting reality literally, I use colour, contrast, simplified forms and expressive brushwork to create atmosphere, emotional tension and a sense of mystery.
Women are at the centre of my artistic world. I often paint close-up faces, elegant silhouettes, flowing hair and symbolic details that give each composition its own individual character. My style combines contemporary figurative painting with expressive colour and a modern decorative sensibility.
I paint every artwork entirely by hand in my studio in Poland. I work mainly in medium and large formats, building my compositions with layers of acrylic paint, visible brushstrokes and strong contrasts.
My aim is to create memorable paintings that bring emotion, character and a distinctive atmosphere to an interior. I want each work to remain personal, open to interpretation and capable of creating an emotional connection with the viewer.
