Rene Gutierrez

René Gutiérrez was born in 1958 in Quito, Ecuador. He starts drawing at an early age, according to his parents at two years old. For this reason it is distinguished in the artistic drawing and the calligraphy in the student stage. At the same time he spends a lot of time reading. In 1978 he began to paint with greater dedication.

Art studies: Self-taught in drawing and painting

He has participated since 1975 in solo and group exhibitions in his country, in The United States and Europe, to date have been 136 exhibitions.
The collective exhibitions have been held the cities of: Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Santa Fé, Englewood, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Amsterdam, Esch-sur-Sur (Luxembourg), Valletta (Island of Malta).
He has also held individual exhibitions in several cities in Ecuador, as well as in Leiden, The Hague, Amsterdam, Zurich, Clevervaux, Pfaffenthal and New York.
