Jamaluddin Ansari

Jamaluddin Ansari, professionally known as Raju Ansari, is a textile artist and rug designer from India, currently serving as Product Development Manager at Nuzrat Carpet Emporium. His artistic journey began in childhood through drawing and painting, where art became a natural language for expression rather than merely a subject of study.

Raised in an environment deeply rooted in traditional carpet craftsmanship, Raju developed a sensitivity to materials, texture, and composition that would shape his future designs. Over time, this intuitive creativity evolved into a refined design philosophy that blends heritage hand-knotting techniques with a contemporary global aesthetic.

Raju’s works explore balance — between tradition and modernity, restraint and expression, structure and softness. Each rug is conceived not just as a decorative object, but as a collectible textile artwork, handcrafted with precision using premium natural materials. Representing a new generation of Indian textile artists, he bridges artisanal legacy with modern design language, creating works that are timeless rather than trend-driven.
