Raúl Cárdenas

Raúl Cárdenas was born in Ayacucho, Peru. He studied painting at the National School of Fine Arts in Lima. His work has moved from academic figuration to modern and contemporary languages. The first with an urban figurative stamp, belonging to the Andean world; and currently nature with a more personal interpretation between neo-figuration and abstraction. With 40 years of experience in painting, his work has been exhibited in countries such as Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Holland and the United States. "Painting is not a lesson learned that must be repeated over time."
