"For me, wrinkles on the face are a map of a person's life. They can be used to determine what kind of life a person lives, how easy or hard their fate was, how hard they worked physically, how much they laughed, were sad or prayed. In what climate conditions they lived, how much scorching sun or strong drying wind there was. You can read about this endlessly. This is one of the reasons why I paint grandmothers."
Ravaeva's works are in private collections around the world.
