RECOGNITION
Rebecca Meneghini is a UK-based artist working primarily with coloured pastel pencils. Drawing from everyday objects, personal memories, and contemporary life, her work explores themes of identity, nostalgia, belonging, and the stories hidden within ordinary things. Through a slow and meticulous process, she transforms familiar subjects into detailed portraits of human experience, inviting viewers to pause and look more closely.
Inspired by realism, but increasingly drawn to narrative and conceptual storytelling, Rebecca's practice investigates the relationship between memory, perception, and the objects we collect, use, cherish, and discard. Her work balances technical precision with emotional resonance, often encouraging reflection on the connections between childhood, aspiration, personal history, and everyday life.
Originally from Italy and now based in London, Rebecca's artistic journey spans a lifelong passion for drawing. Her practice is rooted in observation, patience, and curiosity, creating works that celebrate both the beauty of the overlooked and the meaning found in the ordinary.
