Fernanda Recarey

I am a contemporary artist whose work explores emotion, memory, human vulnerability, and the connection between people, animals, and nature. Through expressive brushwork, layered textures, and vibrant color, I create paintings that move between figuration and abstraction, often carrying a symbolic and psychological atmosphere. My practice is deeply driven by storytelling and emotional truth rather than perfection or realism alone. Alongside my personal body of work, I also create commissioned pet portraits, where I aim to capture not only appearance, but presence, personality, and emotional connection. Based between observation and intuition, my work seeks to create images that feel alive, intimate, and emotionally resonant.
