Jane Cartney

JANE CARTNEY, originally from Aberdeen, is an established artist and musician currently based at her Art Studio and Gallery in Weston-super-Mare on the Somerset coast.

Her paintings have been shown in Europe, as well as both in England and Scotland, and some work is now held in private collections in the UK and the USA.

Described as a colourist-expressionist, Cartney is a spontaneous artist who works intuitively. The main body of her work is informed and inspired by form and colour, either in architecture or the landscape. With her long interest in figurative work, Cartney now accepts private portrait commissions.
