Renata Martinez's paintings explore the continuous cycle of origin, transformation, and the gradual return of form to its essence. Her works inhabit the moment when matter emerges from the invisible, gains presence and, little by little, returns to a state of pure essence.
In her series Essence in Motion, light does not reveal form—it is born from it. Each painting represents a state of transition, where the body, the flower, the air and space cease to exist as separate elements and begin to share the same flow. The transitions are more important than the contours, and the invisible reveals itself in that which slowly ceases to be matter.
More than representing an image, her work invites the viewer to contemplate the silent movement between appearing and disappearing, recognizing transformation as part of the very nature of existence.
