Born in 1943.
My mother - Klaudia Osheva, was a professional artist, so from my early years I got grips of what the "magic of creativity" means.
My father was a professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Ornithologist - hence my passion for birds and Nature as a whole.
Childhood and teen ages - ballet studio, piano classes, art studio; expeditions into the wilderness with my father and to plein-air with mother.
Graduated from the University, specializing in German-Roman philology. But extensive travelling, meeting people and the beauties of Nature engendered the wish to reflect it with the means of fine art. So I got a second education - Odessa College of Arts "Grekovka".
Started to exhibit while studying at the college. It was followed by numerous local, nationwide, All-Soviet Union and international exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1986.
Preferred media - oil on canvas. Preferred genre - figurative art, compositions of "more than one approach". Figurative compositions demand knowledge of the whole spectrum of genres - portraits, landscapes, still-life, - only then your fantasy is not limited by any inner barriers.
Worked in graphics, ceramics, murals and as a theatrical designer. My relationship with the theatre, formed while performing on the stage of Lviv Opera House in childhood, strengthened when I was invited as an art director and costume designer for several productions of Odessa Drama Theater.
It pleases me that my paintings are in private collections in dozens of countries of the World, from Japan and Australia to Europe and both coasts of the USA.
My creative credo: any work of art should ch...
