My name is Ricard J. Tovar, (Castellón, País Valencià 1964), and since I was little I liked to draw and paint, so I have always done it. My artistic training is self-taught, I learned by observing how others paint.
I have a special interest in the great authors of cubism, Picasso and Braque. The Malaga author is the most important artist of the 20th century and the one who has best expressed the richness of the human spirit in more subtle ways.
Professionally I dedicate myself to teaching philosophy, a discipline that has allowed me to access the aesthetic reflections of the great thinkers of all time, among whom Kant, Hegel and Nietzsche stand out. For all of them, art is the most successful activity to express and represent beauty, reality and human life. And that is what we are about.
My works are distributed among friends and family, but they are also in some private collections in Castellón, Madrid, London, Houston, Boston, Washington, San Diego, Philadelphia, Port St. Lucie (Florida), New York, Chicago, Berkeley, Doha and Sydney, etc.
