Riccardo Scavo

Riccardo Scavo is an Italian visual artist currently based in China, whose work explores the intersection between cultural identity, mythology, and contemporary painting. His practice combines a strong foundation in Italian artistic tradition with influences drawn from Chinese iconography, resulting in emotionally charged and visually dynamic compositions.

In his recent solo exhibition Momentum (Beijing, 2024), Scavo developed a unique visual language that merges symbolic imagery with expressive painting techniques. His work often reflects on the relationship between human experience and myth, creating layered narratives that invite both personal and cultural interpretation.

Through painting, illustration, and large-scale works, Scavo continues to investigate the dialogue between East and West, tradition and experimentation, establishing a distinctive and evolving artistic voice.
