These contrasting experiences profoundly shaped her creative voice. Introduced to art by her mother at a young age, Jae discovered her passion for drawing and painting, initially channeling her talent into portraiture for church, school, and local competitions.
Her trajectory took a significant turn when she attended the High School of Art and Design, where her focus shifted toward architecture. This passion led her to pursue architectural studies in college, which later broadened into a broader interest in the built environment. Starting her journey in Architecture, Jae earned a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and a Master’s in Facilities Management, both from Pratt Institute. Her academic journey has been a testament to her resilience and adaptability, with her work evolving to mirror personal growth, challenges, and triumphs.
