Rima Nanyan

I work primarily with monotype and mixed printmaking techniques, valuing their unpredictability and resistance to repetition. Each work emerges as a singular image—an unrepeatable result of gesture, pressure, and time—where intuition plays a central role.
Through layered printmaking processes, I explore themes of transformation, memory, and inner states. Texture and imperfection are essential elements in my work, serving as traces of process and presence.

My artistic practice unfolds at the intersection of material sensitivity and quiet observation. My formal education began at the Panoss Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts and continued at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts, where I earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees—a path that shaped my attentiveness to process, nuance, and conceptual clarity.
