Maarten Van Den Berg

I'm a graphic artist living on the North Sea coast. My work consists of paintings with intriguing patterns in bright colours that I call ‘ripplescapes’. The patterns are created by two layers of lines, like interfering waves or the ripples in the sand left by the tide on a beach. Inspired by physics, music and conversation, my ripplescapes celebrate the creative power of encounter. Each ripplescape captures a moment in the swirl of sensory experiences and stories we share.
