I have always believed there are things that cannot be painted literally and that is where abstract art finds its power. For me, abstraction is not an inability to represent reality; it is a way of making visible what is more real than real feelings, traces, and experiences that have no physical form, yet are deeply, undeniably present.
In my practice, I am drawn to everyday materials that appear ordinary but carry unexpected depth paper and instant coffee. Both are treated in ways far from conventional: paper is cut, torn, and restructured until what is removed becomes the meaning. Coffee is allowed to flow, to seep, and to leave marks that refuse to disappear.
Across all my work, one idea remains: residue. What is left of a feeling, of time, of something that once existed invisible on the surface, but always, always felt.
