Rita Koneska

I am a contemporary painter from North Macedonia, working across different artistic traditions, from icon and fresco painting to modern expressive art.

My work is deeply influenced by years of studying classical techniques, combined with a desire to explore emotion, movement, and inner states through contemporary forms. I create art that balances structure and freedom, tradition and abstraction.

With over 20 years of experience and more than a decade as an art educator, I have dedicated my life to both creating and sharing art. Teaching has strengthened my understanding of visual language, while my studio practice allows me to continuously evolve.

Each piece I create is a personal exploration—an attempt to translate feeling into form and bring depth and presence into the space it inhabits.

All artworks are original and created with professional materials.

Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Majored in Painting, Conservation, and Restoration, studying under renowned professors such as Antoni Maznevski, Momchilo Jordanoski, and Rubens Korubin, whose mentorship greatly influenced my artistic development.
