Roberto Cavazzuti Redrumstudio

Roberto Cavazzuti is an Italian visual artist working primarily with photography. Based in Ravenna, Italy, Roberto Cavazzuti
has also presented his photographic work under the name RedRumStudio.

His visual sensibility has been shaped by cinema, particularly the work of Stanley Kubrick, Wim Wenders and Takeshi
Kitano, as well as by the cinematographic approaches of Vittorio Storaro and John Alcott. These influences inform a
practice attentive to framing, visual structure and the expressive possibilities of the image.

Cavazzuti holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Milan, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence.
His artistic research began in the late 1980s, developing alongside a career spanning nearly four decades in technology.
This background has contributed to a distinctive approach in which technical knowledge and analytical discipline coexist
with an openness to experimentation and visual ambiguity.

His practice has evolved from early video work to contemporary photographic research, encompassing a range of
