The foundation of her artistic talent was fostered as part of her Maritimes upbringing, now the mountains of southeastern British Columbia inspire and nurture.
Introduced at an early age to painting, and its importance, by her parents, she transitioned to textiles as a preferred medium. Post-secondary studies at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design readied her for work with a variety of theatrical companies, including the world renowned Cirque du Soleil.
Interspersed with frequent world travel, she came west seven years ago. A move from Banff, Alberta to be part of Nelson, British Columbia’s artistic, palpable vibe has rekindled her creativity through painting. Her theatrical experience influences her strong, stylized semi-abstract perspective of these portraits.
Stephanie has had numerous individual and group exhibitions. They showcase her impressive multi-media creativity, bold artistic vision and abundant talent.
