My work begins with curiosity and a willingness to enter the unknown.
Using my studio as a laboratory, I bring pigments and reactive materials together, creating the conditions for something to happen without knowing exactly what the outcome will be. I can guide a reaction, disrupt it or encourage it, but I can never completely control it. The painting emerges through this conversation between intention and chance.
Over time, I have come to see these reactions as a reflection of something deeply human. We move through life believing we can control its direction, yet we are continually changed by forces, experiences and encounters we could never have anticipated. Like the materials in my paintings, we are never entirely fixed; we are always becoming.
My work explores this tension between control and surrender, certainty and uncertainty, stability and change. I am interested in the invisible forces that shape matter and, metaphorically, shape us.
I don't paint to reproduce something I already know. I paint to discover something I haven't seen before.
For me, curiosity is more than the desire to know. It is the willingness to enter the unknown and remain open to what might emerge.

I am a self-taught artist with a studio based in London. I am Trinidadian born and moved to London in 2003 where I worked as a business analyst for over a decade. I became a Cordon Bleu qualifies patisserie chef in 2012 and opened my own patisserie designing and making cakes for various wedding magazines and clients such as The Walt Disney Company. Unfortunately, I had to close my patisserie business due to health reasons which brought me back to my lifelong passion of painting.
In my practice I aim to make the unseen seen. I am fascinated by the organic and chemical reactions that are in every part of our daily lives whether it’s the reactions in our bodies or in nature such as rust or decay of compounds bringing them back to their most basic states or transforming them into something new.
