Roop, born in Kolkata, India, is a self-taught artist who now lives and works in Jakarta, Indonesia. With over twenty years of experience as a communication and advertising planner, Roop's involvement in art direction deepened his passion for art, ultimately driving him to pursue his artistic journey full-time.

Roop has dedicated his creative journey to mastering the art of portraits and seascapes, capturing the essence of realism while occasionally exploring the abstract. His work beautifully balances complexity and simplicity, primarily using oil paints, while also experimenting with acrylics and gouache.
