Rory Williams

I was born and brought up in Africa in Rhodesia, now called Zimbabwe. I left for Europe in the early 1980's and I have since travelled the world climbing and surfing. I am now retired and I live in the mountains of Galicia isolated from the madness. My days are spent rock climbing or painting and playing guitar.

I started my apprenticeship in 1982 in a small general practice studio. Very quickly I was able to combine my love of mountaineering with that of my photography. For some time I was employed by a guide book company which allowed me to get paid for both.
In the mid 1980 s I qualified as an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography and went on to win numerous awards.

Exhibitions in the engineerium Gallery in Hove, UK Images of industry and several awards from the BIPP.
