Rosa Del Grappa

Silvia Basso, known by the artistic name Rosa del Grappa, paints with a unique sensitivity, striving to capture and represent the beauty that surrounds us.

Born in Bassano del Grappa a small town near Venice, in 1976, she grew up immersed in the fascinating world of her family's goldsmithing business. From a young age, she worked in the jewelry sector, where she managed all the technical aspects, eventually becoming a designer and enameller.

Her passion for art blossomed when, together with other volunteers, she painted the walls of the local nursery. This moment marked the beginning of a deep love for painting.

In 2015, she opened a bed & breakfast, where she decorated the rooms with murals depicting the historic and natural landscapes of her homeland: Asolo, Marostica, Cittadella, and Bassano del Grappa. This experience further pushed her to evolve as an artist.

Her technique has been refined under the guidance of local masters: she studied hyperrealism with the great painter Luigi Pellanda, explored the world of nature as a source of inspiration with teacher Fabio Basso, and immersed herself in abstract art, using the palette knife with the original master Yana Kiyko.
