Roy Fraser is a British fine‑art photographer whose work explores stillness, atmosphere, and the quiet geometry of coastal landscapes. Working primarily in black and white, he creates minimalist compositions that reduce the world to line, tone, and presence.

His Calligraphy series is made from ocean waves at the shoreline. On bright, reflective days he studies how light moves across the surface of the sea. As each wave forms, collapses and reforms, the reflections create momentary calligraphic shapes — strokes of light written by water. Each artwork captures a single instant where water, motion and light align to create a natural gesture.
