Rreonsu Choi

rreonsu (Yeonsoo) is a contemporary painter whose work delves into the intricate cycle of human expectation, longing, and persistence. Selected as a featured artist for Samsung Art TV, her practice has gained international recognition for its unique blend of organic abstraction and philosophical depth.

Using oil and mixed media, rreonsu visualizes socially constructed standards—the "good life" and "good person"—through the proliferation of organic forms such as cells, roots, and fungi. Her "Gaze" series captures the movement of sensation, transitioning from broad environmental awareness to intimate, magnified focus.

Her work is an intuitive record of moments where the gaze lingers, inviting viewers to reconsider their own expectations from a spacious, liberated perspective.
