As far back as I can remember I loved to create and work with my hands whenever possible. This is what inspired me to be an artist. I'd developed interests in observing automobiles, mechanical objects, nature and industrial design which lead me to become a mechanic at age 17 then realized by age 21 I had only liked looking at those things and not working on them. In the world at that time being an artist was not a seriously considered profession. It was the early 1970s and all I craved was to make things of all kinds and a hunger to be an Artist and live in Art. Small discoveries I experienced while creating were incredibly satisfying to me. It was after making sales from my pieces that I was creating that finalized the path that led me to be an Artist.
The most common key themes in my fine art Sculptures and Paintings are Motion, Geometry, Memory, Time and Depth perception. The creation of any representations is drawn strictly from memory not reality. I believe my message is: “You may now use and enjoy your Imagination”. My most important theory would be: Art is something that can have a transformative effect on a person, place or thing, that effect can be good or bad.
