Born in Matosinhos, i currently live and work in Leça da Palmeira.
Graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Porto, I'm an Art Teacher at a Painting Studio in Leça da Palmeira. My artistic work is divided into two blocks with different languages:
Sculpture, my area of formation, emerges through experimentalism based on conceptual structures inspired by the Human Being while being individual, social and psychological. The use of glass as a privileged material in the construction of sculptures is assumed as an element characteristic of his work.
Painting, which appears as a kind of formal antithesis to my sculpture creatinina, presents a raw realism based on the visible interaction between man and society and the antagonisms created by it.
The search for a figurative representation inserted in storytelling environments using metaphorical graphic elements forces an extra work analysis and a careful conceptual interpretation.
Graduated in Sculpture in Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto.
