Dmitry Ryzhikov

Dmitriy Ryzhikov was born in Leningrad in 1976 and spent his childhood years at Kemerovo, large industrial city in Western Siberia, and Mogilev in Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. Since 1984 to present day Dmitriy resides in Peterhof.
Due to interest in numerous art movements the artist managed to develop his own unique style. The emphasis is on principles of use of the intense light-and-color gradation to create contrast with locally lightened image fragments. Within time the artist has established technical solutions aimed to combine the effect of carefully made work with metaphysical detachment of images.
Later, within the framework of the art strategy of assignment, the artist developed his own recognizable style mainly focused on work with texture, color, multidirectional plans in space, etc. He combines traditional visual art qualities with poster technique. Painting features were added to machine, typographic texture of simple homogeneous poster composition so this collage collision can provide the effect of sense of struggle and conflict and absence of comfort. This quality is important for themes and ideas interpreted by the artist.
