"After a long hiatus, I am returning to an active creative life and aspire to share my work with a wider audience."
I am an artist from post-Soviet Georgia, born in 1964 in Tbilisi. My artistic path began at the Toidze Art School. I later spent two years in Germany serving in the Soviet army, where I was able, within the limits of that time, to engage with contemporary artistic movements. During this period, I worked independently in the fields of applied arts and painting, seeking to develop my own visual language. After returning from military service, I continued my studies at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, majoring in painting, where watercolor became a central medium in my practice. The political, social, and economic realities that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union significantly constrained my professional development; nevertheless, I never lost my connection to the creative process. Today, at the end of 2025, I am returning to an active artistic life and aspire to share my work with a wider audience.
