Sabiha Merabet

Sabiha Merabet is a contemporary visual artist, born in Algeria and residing in Montreal since 2000. In 2016, she trained in photography at Collège Marsan and began developing a self-taught practice in oil painting and cold wax starting in 2017. Her art, both abstract and expressive, blends textures and vibrant colors to create powerful compositions. Also incorporating photography and archival collage, Sabiha adds a narrative dimension to her works. She explores universal themes such as resilience, hope, and change, offering intimate creations that evoke emotions and inspire reflection.
